Why I Created Mac Mayday
Over the last sixteen years working as a Certified Mac Technician and Apple Pro Specialist (probably longer if you factor in support for friends and family!) I’ve fixed thousands of Macs for customers just like you. I’ve experienced pretty much every issue a Mac can face, from the relatively simple things like getting your email working to more frustrating things like your Mac not starting up. I’ve even had to deal with a liquid damaged MacBook because the customer’s daughter had used it for potty training!
Do you know what I noticed? Many of the most common issues could be fixed by the customer themselves. Time and time again I would see the same kinds of problems that could be easily solved by these customers that just didn’t realise they could. Instead, they wasted their time and money on solutions that either didn’t work, were confusing (online advice) or by paying repair shops too much for something so simple.
This didn’t sit right with me. I knew that with the correct strategy these customers could help themselves and become free from the fear of getting it wrong, the confusion and frustration of hours spent searching for the right answer or extra costs they didn’t need to pay.
