I’m going to ask you to use your imagination - now trust me. I know for some of us this can be a challenge, however this is an easy exercise so, follow along with me.
Close your eyes (obviously after reading this bit first), and think about your most perfect holiday destination.
It might be Frenchman’s cove, Jamaica with sparkling clear waters and flour like golden sand.
Volcano boarding in a plywood toboggan in León, Nicaragua (if you enjoy those adrenaline fuelled brakes).
Or cosying up in the Glass-allt-Shiel lodge on the north shore of Loch Muic with an open fire and your favourite copy of Pride and Prejudice nestled in your hands.
This most perfect of destinations requires you to board a flight. The stewardess greets you with a big smile and affable manner saying:
Dread quickly consumes you, as the realisation of what you are being asked to do, sets in.
Now, assuming you are not a trained pilot (in which case this analogy really falls apart for you - imagine you’ve been asked to cook a dish at a Michelin starred restaurant instead*), I’m sure you would appreciate some dedicated time with a flight instructor before even attempting to fly a plane, preferably starting from the comfort and safety of a simulator.
Well, using your Mac, iPhone or other Apple product can be just as daunting. So many switches, buttons and menus to press! Where do you even start! That’s where I do my best work, your resident Apple Pro Specialist, poised ready to coach you in your Mac journey.
I’ve been doing this a long time, and people tell me that they really enjoy their sessions. I don’t make people feel stupid (you, most definitely, are not stupid) and explain things in an easy to understand way. Sounds perfect, right? (Don’t answer that, it is perfect).
Don’t hold back. Sign up for a session today and unleash your inner Apple Aficionado (or at the very least be able to sit down at your computer and know what you are doing without that rising feeling of dread).
*If you’re one of those rare specimens whose skillset easily covers both of these scenarios then keep reading, you can still learn from me!
At Airiam I offer a One-to-One training program that helps you to get the best out of your Mac, iPhone, iPad or other Apple product. I offer remote and in person training, that can be taken at your pace, so that you are happy you have covered a topic and understand it fully before moving on to the next. Please note that not all tuition is suited to a remote session, if this is the case I will let you know so that an appropriate appointment can be booked.
Training encompasses a range of topics and software and can be tailored to your specific needs.
My standard training is conducted in one hour slots at a cost of £60 for Remote and starting at £90* for in person, at your location. Joining a training session gives you exclusive access to my knowledge and experience in an accessible format, making instruction concise and easy to digest. Topics include:
I also offer training for professional applications. As many of the concepts and procedures in professional software are more complex than general computing I recommend booking at least a two hour slot to maximise your learning opportunity. Professional training costs £90 an hour for remote training and starts at £120* in person. I offer training for a wide array of professional software including:
Don’t see the subject or software you are interested in listed above? Then get in touch with a detailed description of what you would like to know and I can build you a custom plan that will give you the education that you need to excel. If your topic of choice falls outside of my areas of expertise, don't worry. I have a network of enthusiastic, experienced, specialists that can conduct your training. If I really can't help with your request I may even be able to suggest an alternative learning route for you.
* The price of in-person training is dependent upon how far I have to travel to get to you. Email me for more information.
